Who we are
This site belongs to Sepideh Eivazi, founder of Dawn of the Earth and BET ON YOURSELF, Los Angeles, CA. Questions, or want to see or remove your details? Email sepi@dawnoftheearth.org.
This website
Netlify hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and browser type. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address and browser details. We run no analytics or advertising trackers, and the pages set no cookies.
Our Site may contain links to other sites. We do not endorse or otherwise accept responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those sites.
The email box
The box on the Home and Journal pages collects your email address only. Netlify stores it, and we use it to send you updates from the community. Ask us any time to remove it.
BET ON YOURSELF check-in at IMEX
What we collect
At check-in (before) and check-out (after): your name, email, mobile number and company; the session you attended; your answers; your photo and video choice; and, with each submission, the time, your phone’s time zone and language, and its browser type.
Why
To run the session, to match your check-in with your check-out and, if you join the community at the end, to follow up.
Photo and video
The photo and video box is optional. If you tick it, we record a yes with the date, time and exact wording you saw. If you do not, we record a no, and you check in just the same.
Where it is stored, and who sees it
Netlify, our website host, stores it. Sepideh’s team and the person who runs this website can see it, including in files exported for the before-and-after report. Netlify also runs an automatic spam filter on form submissions.
On your own phone
Your phone remembers your name, email, mobile, company and sessions for up to 14 days, so the form can fill itself in. Half-finished answers stay for up to 3 hours; answers it could not send stay until they are sent. The check-in page loads nothing from other companies and uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. “Not you? Start over” clears what the phone remembers; answers waiting to be sent still go.
The people you add
At the end you can choose YES to “Bet on four people in my life by sharing the BET ON YOURSELF 4:44 experience” and type up to four email addresses or phone numbers. Add only people who have said it’s OK. Those details are stored with your answers, seen by the same people, and kept for that purpose. Choose “Maybe another time.” and the boxes are cleared, nothing kept. If someone added you and you want your details removed, email us.
Your choices
You have the right to access the Personal Information you have provided to us. If you require details of your Personal Information held by us, we will need to verify your identity before meeting your request, which we will process in a reasonable time. If you find that the information that we hold about you is inaccurate or out of date, then we will promptly correct it upon receipt of the changes from you.
To see, correct or remove your details, email sepi@dawnoftheearth.org. We keep check-in details for as long as we need them for BET ON YOURSELF, and remove them when you ask.
As a matter of policy, we NEVER sell or rent any Personal Information about you to any third-party.
